As an individual and Chairman of The Republican Party of Bexar County, thank you very much for assisting me in my responsibilities.
Your guidance regarding Roberts Rules of Order in a broad scope and specific nuances assisted me tremendously. The discussions regarding RRO as a guidance in conducting meetings of large groups helped me see the big picture. Then we moved on to the lesser nuances specific to our political party and the County Executive Committee meetings. A simple but important point of order that you brought out regarding Previous Question, “call for the question”, was invaluable. Our organization, which is a committee, had been erroneously allowing this motion for decades.
The second great step you took was teaching me the process of preparing the script to follow the proposed agenda. What a concept, thank you. This helps so much in keeping the body focused on the agenda and the subject at hand. These lessons were incredibly valuable.
Your knowledge and skills in resolving difficult moments of debate, meeting flow, and poor behavior of participants were enlightening and allowed us to improve our functions as a political organization.
I highly recommend you as a Parliamentarian to any individual and organization. The leaders of organizations have differing skills and goals. Combining these skills with your knowledge allows leaders to focus on their mission knowing a Certified Parliamentarian is at their right hand to help the meeting be more productive and efficient in the use of time.

Dan saved our bacon!
Even though we are lawyers with many years of advising non-profit organizations, our opinion about the hierarchy of organizing documents was questioned by our client. There was no statutory or case law to which to point the client to for confirmation.
We asked Dan! He immediately confirmed the underlying rule of parliamentary procedure which gave us the support we needed. He was not only knowledgeable about our question, he went on to give us valuable advice on solutions to the client's dilemma.

DT Jackson Enterprises Inc has impacted my life greatly over the two years that I have worked with Mr. Jackson. The concepts he shares along with his personal application of the techniques has given me a greater understanding on how to apply the concepts in my life. I personally feel Dan has helped me maintain lucrative IT contracts along with being given more responsibility on the job due to his training program. People are quite often contacting me for guidance on resolving dilemmas at work.
I still have a lot to learn regarding time management and setting expectations regarding the completion of task; however, Dan has developed a curriculum to guide me in those challenges. Dan brings order, confidence, and leadership through patient instruction
Dan was contracted to come in to assist with an Executive Board meeting because, besides the Chair, no other member of the 13 member board, had ever been part of a sitting Executive Board of any type of organization. It was becoming increasingly difficult to conduct successful meetings and complete the tasks of the board. Having sat on other boards as chair, it was very difficult for me to guide them in following Robert's Rules of Order properly. This was in large part to the Executive Board not being trained and not understanding that when the chair has to redirect, it is not meant in a negative manner. It is meant to keep the meeting focused on the business at hand, and moving.
Prior to inviting Dan in, he met with me in my office, called me often to help me understand our own constitution, assisted me with materials that would guide me in all future meetings, gave me tips and pointers on Robert's Rules of Order, and he indicated on our Constitution things we may want to visit, by writing notes. He demonstrated how to approach difficult situations and he shared other forms that could be useful in facilitating future meetings. His guidance allowed me to study, prepare, and feel confident in chairing the next meeting. On the day of the meeting, he came in an hour before and role played with me and gave me advice on how to maneuver sticky situations that are known to occur. He attended the meeting and then gave me immediate feedback. He later called me the next day to have a debriefing to help me understand what I could have done differently and how to be better prepared in the future. His attendance during the meeting helped me feel highly confident and competent because he would write notes on note cards, pass them over to me, all in the effort to keep me in line with Robert's Rules of Order or to suggest how to lead the group on the proper motions, amendments, etc.
Dan Jackson was worth every cent! He made himself available, counseled me, asked me not to hesitate to call him, and in every aspect of our work together, he was highly personable, patient, courteous and helpful. I would recommend any organization needing to get their boards trained to utilize his services. He was an asset to helping our board conduct business in a successful manner. Dan's the Man!

-Professional, Responsive and Provided Valuable Parliamentarian Services
The Mystic Shores Property Owners Association needed a parliamentarian for our annual membership meeting. We had not had a parliamentarian attend our annual meetings for several years. This year, based on social media postings a couple of weeks before the meeting, we anticipated potential parliamentary questions might be raised at the meeting. I found Dan Jackson through "Internet research" and was very glad I did. Dan answered an evening call less than two weeks before our meeting. He spent the time to review our governing documents, respond to questions and provide training materials. Additionally, he conducted a training session for our presiding officer. He accomplished all of this on very short notice, in a very professional manner and at a very reasonable cost. He was extremely pleasant and professional to work with and we plan to engage his services for our next annual meeting.

Parliamentary Training a Success!
Dan was highly recommended by the AFLCIO for Parliamentary training. Our organization was in need of training our Stewards and Officers to be able to conduct an effective and efficient Membership Meeting. Dan made the class very enjoyable and easy to comprehend at all levels, as well as adding a little humor and fun that made the time fly by.
I am proud to say that our Membership meeting was conducted in an orderly fashion with our knowledge of the newly revised Roberts Rules of Order training that was focused on our Membership Meetings. We were able to apply what we learned and I plan on using Dan in the future. I would also highly recommend Dan to assist with your organization, his knowledge and experience is stellar.

Speaking Skills at a Whole New Level
Dan has taken my speaking skills to a whole new level that Toastmasters could not provide. I am more confident and able to craft a speech within a 15 minute time frame thanks to Dan's instructional knowledge. I would be willing to pay Dan anytime I need to come up with a keynote speech or a seminar for training. "He's a great trainer and I am more than satisfied with his services."

Recommendation for Professional Parliamentarian
After being elected the temporary Chairman of the 25th Senatorial District Republican Convention, I realized I was going to need a parliamentarian to train me in running this convention. I interviewed three different men. Dan Jackson impressed me with his knowledge, professionalism, and his willingness to spend time with me to train me to do the job. His price was also fair. As I got into the training, I realized I had chosen the right man for the job.
Mr. Jackson paid attention to the details; he knew how to teach and he articulated well. He is disciplined and kept to the time frames we had set up. He understood an "old construction guy" like me and took me from the construction site to the podium of a convention in about three months. He understood what I needed to learn and kept me on tract. He did his homework and prepared me for just about every circumstance and challenge from the delegation that could arise. He also has a wonderful sense of humor. I really enjoyed working with him.
When it came time for the convention, he was there with me and ready to go. He was such a strength and surety. Mr. Jackson not only provided excellent training, he brought value to the convention and the people we served. I would highly recommend him and intend to work with him again should the situation arise.

First of all, Dan T. Jackson is simply a good man and an absolute class act. While testing to earn my credentials as a Registered Parliamentarian, Dan's support is what put me over the top. He made himself available to me throughout the process, tested my competency, and encouraged me to keep going. I made a mistake and had a test mailed to the wrong address but Dan did not worry, he stepped in and fixed the situation to ensure the test was redelivered without reapplying, repayment, and with little delay. He's always calm, unfaltering, and honest. During the process I called him my friend, a title I hope we'll maintain for many years to come.

With his encouragement, I persisted until I received my certificate.
Once I firmly decided to pursue the National Association of Parliamentarian's certification for Registered Parliamentarian, Dan Jackson became my biggest supporter. He encouraged my plan of study and provided the impetus to continue on my chosen path despite challenges along the way. With his encouragement, I persisted until I received my certificate. As his apprentice, I expect my experience to deepen with understanding of the many aspects of parliamentary procedure and its benefits to all meeting situations.
